Christian Property Owner Leasing to Planned Parenthood Amidst Protest

FONTANA, Calif., June 17, 2026 /Standard Newswire/ — Citizens in the predominantly Hispanic, blue-collar community of Fontana, CA knew they were being targeted by the abortion giant Planned Parenthood back in 2023. Planned Parenthood has a history of preying on minority communities and citizens often feel powerless to fight back. In the case of Fontana, the townspeople did fight back.
Armed with homemade posters, rosaries, and pushing strollers with kids, they took to the streets en masse. 2,000 people joined one of the protests, and the resistance got the city council’s attention. City leaders found legal means to redistrict the downtown area in a manner that excluded Planned Parenthood.
The situation drastically shifted when California’s pro-abortion state legislature passed AB 2085 in direct response to the City of Fontana’s actions. This law mandates that cities must approve permits for any facility classified as “healthcare,” and that no outside interference can affect its opening regardless of how life-threatening the business may be. Mylinda Carrillo, who has been involved in the local protest efforts expressed her frustration:
“As a resident of Fontana, I believe our city should be known for uplifting families, supporting women and protecting human dignity – not for normalizing the ending of innocent human life. They are determined to give us a giant abortion business we made clear we do not want.”
After this huge setback, the next strategy to prevent the abortion clinic from opening came from Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust, a national pro-life organization. Survivors aimed to expose the building owner leasing the space to Planned Parenthood – Dr. Rene Salhab, a prominent local doctor who owns Children’s Choice Pediatrics, operating two locations in the area.
When the Survivors learned that Dr. Salhab and his family consider themselves Christians, they saw an opportunity to make inroads and compel the physician to pull Planned Parenthood’s lease. The Survivors leadership team worked for three months to help the family which included meeting with them and their lawyers. They offered legal counsel, financial help and spiritual support but the Salhabs were ultimately unwilling to cooperate.

“It’s tragic the Salhabs have decided to take the path of least resistance to protect their earthly estate over obedience to Christ. Now our team is tasked with exposing the hypocrisy of a ‘Christian’ pediatrician who is enabling the slaughter of his very own future patients.”
Planned Parenthood is preparing to open the massive Fontana facility this July. This oversized ‘health center’ will feature ten exam rooms and the capacity to murder up to 20 unborn babies per day. The Survivors have unofficially named it the “Salhab Memorial Kill Center” after the building’s owner.
