SOUTH BRISBANE, Australia, June 19, 2026 /Standard Newswire/ — Nxt Gen Business, a faith-integrated entrepreneurship program for teenagers, today announced that enrolment is now open for homeschool families seeking to equip their children with practical business skills grounded in Christian values of stewardship, integrity, and purposeful work.
The program comes at a time when more homeschool families are looking for ways to give their teens real-world, applicable skills outside the traditional classroom — without compromising the faith foundation at the centre of their education. Nxt Gen Business was created to meet that need directly, offering a structured pathway for young people aged 13 to 19 to learn how to identify opportunities, build a business idea, and apply biblical principles of redemption and stewardship to money, leadership, and work.
“We believe entrepreneurship is one of the most powerful tools a young person can use to live out their faith in the marketplace,” said Wes Leake, founder of Nxt Gen Business and Business Blessings. “Too often, teenagers are told to wait until adulthood to start using their gifts. We want to flip that. Scripture is full of examples of stewardship, diligence, and using what God has given us — and we’ve built a program that helps teens put that into practice now, while they’re still at home and under their parents’ guidance.”
Through Nxt Gen Business, students work through a guided curriculum covering the fundamentals of starting and running a business — from idea validation and budgeting to marketing and customer service — all framed through a biblical lens of stewardship and service to others. The program is designed to complement, not compete with, a family’s existing homeschool curriculum, and includes a supportive community of like-minded families and mentors walking the journey together.
Wes, who also leads Business Blessings, a faith-integrated community for Christian business owners, brings years of experience helping business owners align their work with their faith. Nxt Gen Business extends that same mission to the next generation, giving teenagers a head start on both their entrepreneurial journey and their walk of faith in the workplace.
“Parents homeschooling their kids are already investing so much into building a strong foundation — academically and spiritually,” Wes added. “Nxt Gen Business is here to add a practical, faith-filled layer on top of that: teaching kids to work with excellence, manage money wisely, and see business as a calling, not just a career.”
The program also introduces students in how to use artificial intelligence as a practical business tool, helping teens learn to use these technologies wisely and productively from the very start of their entrepreneurial journey.
“AI is already changing how businesses are built, and our students don’t need to wait until college or their first job to learn that — they can learn it now, with wisdom and biblical discernment guiding how they use it,” Wes said. “We want this generation to see AI not as something to fear or avoid, but as a tool — the same way scripture talks about using our hands, our minds, and our resources well. Used with the right heart, it can help a teenager research a market, write a business plan, or design a product far faster than was ever possible before. Our job is to make sure that speed is matched with character.”
Applications are now open for Nxt Gen Business, with rolling intake for homeschool families and individual students. Interested families are encouraged to learn more and apply to join the community at nxtgenbusiness.co.
