NEW YORK, April 29, 2026 /Standard Newswire/ — A new faith-based book is drawing attention online for its bold promise: to make the Bible understandable in plain language—without religious complexity, academic barriers, or denominational influence.
Bible Speaks, written by Lilian Strandlund under the pen name Lily, is described as a straightforward guide to essential biblical teachings for everyday readers.
Strandlund, who was born with cerebral palsy, brings a deeply personal voice to the work. Like actress Phoebe-Rae Taylor, she lives with a speech impediment, which she refers to as a “CP accent” (Cerebral Palsy). She says that experience shaped her determination to communicate with clarity and purpose rather than complexity.
The book is aimed at readers who say traditional Bible study materials are often difficult to understand or overly complicated.
Instead of theological language or denominational interpretation, Bible Speaks breaks down sixteen key biblical doctrines into plain, structured, easy-to-follow explanations. Topics include eternal life, heaven, and the promise of a new Earth, all written in everyday language.
Written at a seventh-grade reading level and designed in large, easy-to-read format, the book is built for accessibility. It is intended for individuals, families, study groups, and personal devotion.
Strandlund says the project comes from a personal calling to make Scripture understandable to more people. She emphasizes that Bible Speaks has no affiliation with any church or denomination and is based strictly on the Bible itself, allowing readers to engage with the text without outside interpretation.
Her personal journey adds weight to the message. Living with cerebral palsy has influenced both her communication style and her focus on clarity, inclusion, and making information accessible to others.
Early interest in the book has been driven by readers drawn to its simplicity and direct approach, noting its focus on removing barriers that often prevent engagement with Scripture.
