PEKIN, Ill., April 22, 2026 /Standard Newswire/ — The following is submitted by Patty Hatfield, Dianne Marshall’s Daughter:
On April 14th, a Tuesday, my mother Dianne Marshall was cremated in Pekin, Illinois.
The next day my brother and I were driving when a gentleman named Phillip from the funeral home called me.
Phillip said, “I need to share with you what has happened during the cremation of your mother.” He told us in his twelve years he has never heard of or seen such a thing.
Phillip said a solid pure ten-ounce silver bar had come out with her ashes!
Phillip shared a retired police officer performing the cremation was watching the ashes coming down when he suddenly heard a loud thump, when he looked down, he saw a bar shining through her ashes!
It was a solid bar of silver untouched by the fire, completely unmelted after going through up to eighteen hundred-degree heat. Some of mom’s ashes were engraved throughout the bar with the stampings still perfectly clear and shining.
Before the cremation, four different people thoroughly searched her body, and she went through a metal detector.
This is even more powerful because my mother always spoke about the silver cord we all have within us, as in Ecclesiastes 12:6-7 (NIV):
“Remember him – before the silver cord is severed, and the golden bowl is broken; before the pitcher is shattered at the spring, and the wheel broken at the well, and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.”
This silver bar is a miracle God made sure the world would see.
But as far as we know, this has never been seen or heard of before. A thick ten-ounce bar of 99.99% pure silver falling right in the middle of the ashes. It was still shining, completely unmelted by up to 1800-degree heat, with her ashes melted around the bar, and the engravings perfectly clear.
Stamped on the bar is a fleur-de-lis.
Like mom has always said “God works in mysterious ways.”
MALACHI 3:2-3 “But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver.”
God bless! ~ Patty
