LANCASTER, Penn., June 25, 2026 /Standard Newswire/ — Global Disciples, a missions organization serving people groups least-reached with the Gospel, has appointed Benedict A. Omollo of Kenya as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Omollo is a transformational financial leader and committed Christian executive with over 30 years of experience in global leadership, strategic oversight, and multi country financial management across Africa and internationally.

“We set out looking for a unique combination of capabilities,” says René Dekker, Chief Executive Officer of Global Disciples. “This role calls for world-class financial acumen and the ability to operate in a diverse international environment. We also wanted someone based in Africa or Asia with a heart for and deep understanding of near-culture missions work. We found that in Omollo.”

As Executive Director for Biblica Inc. – Africa, Omollo led operations across 12 African nations, including post-conflict and politically volatile regions. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles with Compassion International, where he led large-scale program growth and oversaw multi-country operations with budgets exceeding $130 million. Omollo’s career also spans the public sector. He served as Director of Finance for the Judiciary of Kenya, where he managed budgets exceeding $185 million and secured over $120 million in World Bank funding.

A Certified Public Accountant and licensed insolvency practitioner, Omollo holds a Master of Philosophy in Development Finance from Stellenbosch Business School in South Africa and a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Management from Daystar University in Kenya.

“I view the role of CFO at Global Disciples as a nexus of wisdom and faithfulness—where, as Proverbs reminds us, the truly wise win souls, and, as the Apostle Paul teaches, faithfulness is the defining mark of a trustworthy leader,” says Omollo, who will continue to be based in Nairobi, Kenya. “I’m honored to serve in a role that advances both our mission and our stewardship with integrity.”

Global Disciples is active in more than 71 countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, focusing on regions where one-third of the world’s population remains unreached with the message of Jesus Christ.
