ELLICOTT CITY, Md., Sept. 4, 2026 /Standard Newswire/ — Grammy-nominated songwriter Laurence Baer today announces “Baby’s Baby Bump,” releasing September 11, 2026 and available to pre-save now for free: https://ffm.to/acrosslightvip!cn
The song captures the overwhelming joy of a father watching his wife’s pregnancy unfold — the giddy anticipation of a child not yet met, but already impossible to stop thinking about. It’s a perspective too infrequently addressed in popular music: the father’s own wonder at new life still growing.
“Darren is an incredible songwriter and a pleasure to write with,” said Baer. “I can’t help smiling when I listen to Baby’s Baby Bump. We are working together on releasing a separate project of co-writes later this year.”
“Baby’s Baby Bump” is the second chapter of Baer’s independent 21-song waterfall collection, “Across Light,” a project built on five pillars: Faith, Family, Healing, Celebrating Life, and Mankind’s Return to God. The song follows the August 21 release of the collection’s opening chapter, “This Holy Ground,” which called for national healing and unity. Where that song looked outward, “Baby’s Baby Bump” turns inward, toward the unreserved happiness of family life.
Fans who pre-save “Baby’s Baby Bump” now receive the already-released “This Holy Ground,” plus a free advance sampler previewing the collection’s first four songs — including the upcoming gospel-jazz track “Effortlessly” (releasing October 2) about the empowerment of aligning one’s life with God, and “I’ve Been Blessed,” (releasing October 23) an explosive roots-gospel anthem co-produced by legacy blues and boogie-woogie pianist Daryl Davis, who performed alongside Chuck Berry for over 32 years. Fans will also automatically receive each new track as it releases throughout the 21-song project.

Baer will release another major project, “Across Country,” later this year, bringing his music and message to the country music audience. That project will include seven additional co-writes with Darren Holden.
