TULSA, Okla., July 28, 2026 /Standard Newswire/ — Before she was captured, brutally beaten with baseball bats, dumped and abandoned, Reverend Monica Riley inherited a legacy she never asked for: a faith tested through five generations of persecution.
In The Silent War, Riley shares a gripping true account of violence, survival, miraculous healing, prophetic dreams, the assassination of a missionary Pastor, angelic encounters, and the unwavering faith that carried her through battles both seen and unseen. Set against the backdrop of Guyana and the United States, this book traces her journey from a childhood shaped by stories of churches destroyed and rebuilt to the moment her own life became the next chapter in that legacy.
At the heart of the story is a brutal attack that should have ended her life. Instead, it became a testimony of supernatural protection, forgiveness, and the sustaining power of God. Years later, Riley faced another devastating battle when a life-threatening illness left her with little hope for recovery and in hospice care. Yet through every trial, one truth remained unchanged: God is faithful to faith.
“The Silent War is not just a story about what happened to me,” Riley says. “It is a testimony that no matter how fierce the battle becomes, God’s faithfulness is greater. I wrote this book for anyone who feels overwhelmed, wounded, or ready to give up.”
Blending personal testimony, historical events, and biblical reflection, The Silent War explores persecution, redemption, healing, dreams and visions, divine intervention, and the unseen spiritual conflict every believer faces. More than a memoir, it is a call to courage for those walking through their own darkest season.
Originally from Guyana and now living in Oklahoma, Reverend Monica Riley is an evangelist, speaker, and Christian author dedicated to encouraging others across the world through biblical truth and personal testimony. Through this powerful new release, she invites readers to discover hope, resilience, and the victory found in Jesus Christ.
“The battle may be unseen, but the victory in Christ is already won.”
The Silent War is available now through Amazon and other major online booksellers.
