VIENNA, Va., Jan. 3, 2014 /Standard Newswire/ -- Every era has its own people and contributors, and it is clear that the current is Morocco's by excellence, an era wherein the Moroccan diplomacy is prevailing at every level and internationally.
The Moroccan diplomacy in Africa showed a great deal of competency throughout the year 2013. The Moroccan Monarch; His Majesty King Mohammed VI, shifted his diplomatic attention to strengthening Moroccan's ties with African nations. To achieve that, he conducted State visits to many African countries where he was received as an influential international personality, especially during his State visit to Mali to attend the inauguration of the, back then, newly elected president, His Excellency Mr. Ibrahim Boubacar Keita. The Malian President acknowledged the efforts of the Kingdom of Morocco to fight terrorism in Northern Mali as well as establishing peace in the region of Sahel.
The Kingdom of Morocco established a military field hospital; such a service provided humanitarian aid and medical assistance to the locals. A gesture that was very much appreciated by the Malian Administration. This humanitarian mission was accomplished with outstanding results.
During a speech to the nation, the Malian President Mr. Keita did not let the occasion pass by without showing his personal gratitude, and that of his people, to the Moroccan Monarch. He highlighted that His Majesty show a personal determination to assist the Malian Islamic educational system by granting over 500 grants to train and educate Malian Imams on Islamic rituals and tolerance.
The Malian President also acknowledged the Moroccan efforts during its presidency at the aids.
The new approach of the Moroccan diplomacy in Africa had an immediate impact on the Moroccan national interests in the continent as well as showing the Moroccan potential to promote peace in North Africa, Sub-Saharan region and Sahel. Morocco promoted well its proposal for autonomy in its Southern territories to end the conflict with the front of "Polisario." Such a proposal can only prove to the Moroccan partners around the world the dedication and seriousness of Rabat to establish and sustain stability in the entire region, and it exposed the separatists and their deceiving agenda, which only aims to destabilize North Africa and make the whole region a haven for terrorists, organized crime and other illegal activities.
