DENVER, April 6, 2015 /Standard Newswire/ -- March of Remembrance- Denver will once again host a March of Remembrance to commemorate the events of the Holocaust, honoring those affected by it and standing in support of Israel. This year's march is April 19, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Babi Yar Park, located at 2601 S. Havana St., Denver. The march will be along Parker Road and Havana St., followed by guest speakers who will share compelling stories. Participants are encouraged to bring their American and Israeli flags for the march.
This year's speakers include Rosalyn Kirkel, a child survivor and President of Colorado Jewish Holocaust Survivors & Descendants. She will share lessons learned from the Holocaust. Boaz Meir, Regional Manager of the National Jewish Fund, Mountain States Region will also speak on the significance of the Zionist movement started by Theodor Herzl. Also Colorado State Representative Paul Rosenthal will be present to kick off the event with the reading of this year's Mayor's proclamation.
