ONTARIO, Ore., June 22, 2023 /Standard Newswire/ -- The prayer and worship gathering will take place on Saturday, June 24, from 9:00 – 10:15 a.m. This marks the one-year anniversary of the Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. Wade.
The exact location is the public sidewalk outside the Planned Parenthood abortion facility at 640 SW 4th Avenue, Ontario, OR.
The event is bringing together prolife leaders and organizations, including Stanton Healthcare, Love Life, the Knights of Columbus, and citizens from both Idaho and Oregon who reject the claim that "abortion is healthcare." The group will be praying for God to make abortion unthinkable across the nation and for every life to be celebrated.
Stanton Healthcare is an AAAHC-accredited, women's healthcare clinic which specializes in serving women with unexpected pregnancies by providing professional medical care, practical and emotional support, women's wellness care, and a special outreach to refugee and marginalized communities. Stanton is based in Idaho with affiliates across the country and internationally.
Lila Afoa, Executive Director of Stanton Healthcare, comments:
"On the one-year anniversary of Roe v. Wade being overturned, we are coming together in thanks to God for the lives saved from abortion this past year, and to pray for healing in the lives of mothers and fathers who suffer from the pain and regret of losing their child through an abortion. We are praying for God to 'overturn abortion' in the hearts and minds of all Americans, and to become a nation that seeks to strengthen, support, and celebrate families."
Samantha Doty, PA-C, Director of Clinical Services, adds:
"Since the overturn of Roe, Stanton Healthcare has increased our services to women facing unexpected pregnancies in Idaho while Planned Parenthood has permanently closed their Boise clinic. Instead, they aim to continue their abortion business across state lines. But our Stanton Healthcare clinics are busier than ever with an increase in website traffic and phone calls by 120%, office visits are up by more than 65%, and supply requests have increased by nearly 40%.
"We are thrilled to be able to expand our services for women, and to ensure they receive exceptional medical care, resources, and support throughout their pregnancies and beyond."
Since the Ontario Planned Parenthood opened this past spring, Stanton Healthcare has been parking its 37' mobile medical clinic next to the abortion facility to offer women compassionate alternatives to abortion, exceptional medical care, resources, and support.
Stanton's mobile clinic will be on site at Saturday's prayer gathering for tours that are open to the public.
