ENUMCLAW, Wash., March 11, 2020 /Standard Newswire/ -- A new Bible study release targets women who don't have life "all together." Glorious Mess: From Broken to Bold & Beautiful (Redemption Press), by Mary McCullough, follows the struggles of the biblical Hannah, whose difficult interpersonal relationships and inability to conceive caused her grief and pain.
This six-week daily Bible study, based on 1 Samuel 1–2:11, invites women to come confidently before God in spite of their out-of-control life situations. McCullough, an assistant elementary principal and Bible teacher, says, "Fortunately, we don't have to get our messes all cleaned up before we go to God. He loves us in and through them. He sees us from His glorious perspective and will use our messes to display His glory." She sees the study as a potential mentoring tool for women who have been abused, addicted, divorced, and those who need healing of any kind.
McCullough says, "My biggest message to women is to live authentically before God and others. There is such freedom in not having it all together! God is glorified when we hand over our hurts for His healing and messes for His majesty."
This Bible study is designed to help women pray transparently, praise wholeheartedly, and break off the shackles of spiritual barrenness, the need for approval, and perfectionism. The study features prayers, space for reflection, daily and weekly study questions, and an accountability covenant.
