Singer Dedicated to Helping Future Adoptive Families

ATLANTA, March 15, 2011 /Standard Newswire/ -- As the son of an adoptive child, Daniel Bashta has always been committed to combating the global orphan crisis. A 29-year-old worship pastor at Riverstone Church (in Marietta) as well as a recording artist, Daniel and his wife, Taylor, recently welcomed into their home a five-month-old adoptive son, Phoenix Green Bashta.

During their adoption journey, Daniel and Taylor, like many adoptive couples, were concerned about the expenses associated with adopting a child. However, as a spiritual family, the Bashta's were not surprised when God answered their prayers in providing resources so they could move forward with becoming a forever family for Phoenix.

A songwriter, Daniel had written a powerful ballad, "Like a Lion," which had been recorded by notable Christian musicians The David Crowder Band. In addition, Daniel had been signed by Integrity Music, an independent label, to record a CD featuring the single. With proceeds from "Like a Lion," the Bashta's had found the money they needed to move forward with adopting Phoenix.

Touched by God's answer to his family's prayers, Daniel decided to return the favor for future adoptive couples with the introduction of Project Gift, the donation of all proceeds from sales of "Like a Lion" to Bethany Christian Services, the nation's largest non-profit adoption agency, so that couples needing financial support could afford adoption more easily. Fans can download "Like a Lion" for whatever they would like to give.

"God provided financially for us and opened doors into the music industry through 'Like a Lion,' so Taylor and I wanted to return his gift to us," said Daniel. "Adoption is a mission, not a message. We want to do everything we can do to help in providing loving homes for orphans and proceeds from this song are but one small way in which we can provide assistance."
