WASHINGTON, Feb. 26 /Standard Newswire/ -- The Senate Judiciary Committee voted today to send David Ogden's name to the full Senate for a confirmation vote for the position of Deputy Attorney General. The Committee voted 14-5 in favor of Ogden, despite his long career of defending child pornographers, Playboy Enterprises, and Penthouse. Family Research Council President Tony Perkins urges the full Senate to reject David Ogden's confirmation.
"David Ogden represents an extreme liberal agenda," said Family Research Council President Tony Perkins, "He has a long career of advocating for the 'right' of individuals including pedophiles to purchase and possess child pornography. Mr. Ogden's record makes him unfit to serve in the Justice Department which is charged with prosecuting adult and child pornography violations.
