LOS ANGELES, Aug. 14, 2012 /Standard Newswire/ -- Trinity Broadcasting Network, the world's largest religious broadcaster, has rolled out a new look to its home page, TBN.org, and with it is highlighting its 18-member Trinity Broadcasting Family of Networks. "As we gear up for TBN's 40th anniversary, we're excited about how far God has taken this network," said Matt Crouch, TBN's Vice President of Administration. "What began in 1973 with one small station in southern California has, with God's grace, grown into eighteen distinct networks in the U.S. and around the world, each broadcasting dynamic inspirational, educational, and entertaining programming for every member of the family 24 hours every day."
Of course, TBN's foundational network continues to be its TBN Flagship channel, America's most watched faith network and the trusted Christian source for tens of millions of viewers around the world. "For nearly 40 years our TBN flagship network has comforted, inspired, and nurtured individuals and families the world over," said Matt Crouch. "And it continues to be our most requested network."
In addition, over the past several years TBN has extended its domestic and global viewership through the launch of several specialty networks, including the Church Channel, featuring 24-7 church and ministry programs from the world's top pastors and speakers; Smile of a Child, a 24-hour network for children of all ages; JCTV, a round-the-clock youth channel featuring music, talk, extreme sports, and other engaging shows; Enlace, offering the best of faith programming from Latin America and the U.S., all in Spanish; and Enlace Juvenil, featuring music videos and programming for Hispanic youth.
At the international level, TBN has also exploded over the past several years, with a total of 12 TBN network affiliates now broadcasting Christian television 24 hours a day in literally every region of the world: Those 13 networks are:
- TBN Nejat, reaching Persian viewers in Iran, the Middle East, Europe, and the U.S.
- The Healing Channel, for Arab-language viewers in the Middle East and beyond.
- TBN Europe and TBN Italia, broadcasting throughout the continent of Europe.
- TBN Africa, Christian Television, and Family TV, reaching viewers throughout Africa.
- TBN Russia, Smile of a Child Russia, and the Juce youth network, reaching viewers throughout Russia, Ukraine, and Eastern Europe.
- TBN Asia, reaching many Asian people groups.
- Light TV, broadcasting throughout the Philippines.
Dr. Paul Crouch, TBN's founder and President, predicted that several more global channels would join TBN's family of networks in the coming years. "Every station that comes on the air is one more voice and light thundering the gospel message across the earth," he said. "And that is our one and only goal -- to broadcast the good news of Jesus Christ until He returns."
