LOS ANGELES, April 4, 2025 /Standard Newswire/ — The Azusa Street Mission proudly announces its 19th Annual AzusaFest 2025, taking place on April 11-13, 2025, in celebration of the historic Azusa Street Revival that ignited a global movement of faith and renewal. Our theme scripture is Psalms 85:6(NKJV) “Will You not revive us again, That Your people may rejoice in You?”
This ticketed on-site event invites all worshippers to register online at www.azusastreetmission.org.
A Brief History of the Azusa Street Revival: The Azusa Street Revival began in 1906 in Los Angeles, California, led by William J. Seymour, an African American holiness preacher. It became a catalyst for the modern Pentecostal movement, characterized by worship, speaking in tongues, healings, and interracial unity. Despite the divisive times, people of diverse backgrounds gathered at 312 Azusa Street to experience the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The revival lasted for several years, attracting believers from around the world who carried its message to their communities, forever shaping global Christianity.
On Friday, April 11th, festival attendees will embark on a tour of Angelus Temple Museum and the Bonnie Brae House and Azusa Street, sites deeply woven into revival history, offering moments of reflection on the faith and prayers that sparked the movement. This tour will allow guests to experience the spiritual legacy of Azusa Street firsthand. Friday night, 7-9pm, in partnership with Apostle Jessica Maldonado, hosting a Miracle Night service, conference attendees will attend the service in Torrance, CA.
On Saturday, April 12th, the festivities will be held at Union Church and will feature a full day (10 AM - 6 PM) of worship, prayer, and celebration, bringing together believers from across the nation to honor the transformative power of revival. A special tribute to our First Nations brothers and sisters will recognize their invaluable role in carrying the torch of faith, as we celebrate Pastors Gabriel & Patricia Ward, leaders of Second Wind Ministries for their dedication and spiritual leadership.
On Sunday, April 13th (Palm Sunday), AzusaFest 2025 will conclude with Revival Night, an evening service from 5 PM - 7:30 PM at Union Church (401 E. Third Street, Los Angeles, CA 90013).
A highlight of the event will be the presentation of the prestigious "William J. Seymour Award," named after the visionary leader of the Azusa Street Revival. This year's recipients, Pastors Caleb and Erica Cooper, have demonstrated unwavering commitment to revival ministry throughout their twenty years in service. They are the senior pastors of New Hope Revival Church in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. Caleb Cooper Ministries has been instrumental in leading Revival Fire Tent Meetings, setting up a 120 ft. by 60 ft. revival tent nationwide to spark transformation in communities. Pastors Caleb and Erica Cooper are ordained through the Azusa Street Apostolic Network by Apostle Fred Berry and his wife, ensuring the legacy of revival continues for generations to come.
Azusa Street Mission invites all to join our Azusa Awakening prayer call (727-731-4295) monthly 1st and 3rd Saturdays at 5 PM - 6 PM (PST) to remain united in faith and intercession.
The Azusa Street Mission is a 501(c)(3) non-profit ministry, co-founded in 2006 by Apostles Fred and Wilma Berry. Though Apostle Fred Berry graduated to Heaven three years ago, the mission continues to expand, embracing new seasons of spiritual awakening and revival.
