Douglass Leadership Institute brings their Turning the Tide Initiative to this two-day Black and Brown Leadership Summit – Repairing the Breach

CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 5, 2016 /Standard Newswire/ -- Only a few weeks after their successful event at Hampton University, DLI's Turning the Tide imitative, Strengthening the Black Family, will engage Pastor in a forum setting to discuss the challenges and solutions to helping the family unit survive and thrive in their communities. The facilitators are Rev. Dean Nelson, the DLI's Chairman of the Board, and Martin Brown, their Sr. Policy Analyst.
Rev. Nelson is a licensed minister, ordained pastor, executive leader, organizational consultant, political activist, and sought after speaker. He currently serves as the national outreach director at Online for Life and as the chairman of the Frederick Douglass Foundation.
Martin Brown has over 20 years of leadership experience in human services and government relations serving three Virginia Governor's. Most recently Mr. Brown served as Special Advisor to the Governor for Prisoner Reentry and Family Reintegration and as Commissioner of the Virginia Department of Social Services. Mr. Brown is a graduate of Howard University's School of Business.
