In discussing Elkin's background and role, Tate said, "Elkin spent nearly ten years in several leadership roles in education and business services for companies like Kaplan, New Futuro and Princeton Review where he built alliances and developed strategies to bring economic and educational opportunities to working class families."
In his leadership role at New Futuro, Elkin brought together over 300 multi-sector partners to help Latino families believe and achieve their dreams through education.
