PITTSBURGH, Oct. 20, 2020 /Standard Newswire/ -- Sisters Celebrating Diversity announces its upcoming virtual event entitled "Bridge Work: A Biblical Path to Justice," which is scheduled for Saturday, November 7th from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. (ET). In light of today’s current state of emergency in terms of racial division, this timely event will encourage women and men from various races to be a part of the solution.
National Speaker Patricia Raybon will challenge participants to explore ways in which mercy and justice are related, and to consider how confession, repentance, and forgiveness can move us forward in responding to social injustice. Raybon is an award-winning author and journalist who writes top-rated books to help believers move big mountains, including "My First White Friend," "Undivided: A Muslim Daughter, Her Christian Mother, Their Path to Peace," and others. As an African American follower of Christ, she encourages people globally to love God and each other. A writer at Our Daily Bread Ministries and DaySpring's (in)courage blog, she is author of several books, devotionals, and essays on faith, race and grace. She has been described by Philip Yancey as "Raw and comfortably real" and by Publishers Weekly as "Glorious...Raybon can tell a story to be sure."
Opportunities for discussion will be included in this Zoom event, as well as SCD's popular book giveaway!
