PORTLAND, Ore., April 29, 2020 /Standard Newswire/ -- This Thursday (April 30), the Luis Palau Association is hosting a global online training event focused on empowering and equipping followers of Jesus to share their faith with others. The event, called Reaching Your World: How to Share Hope During Social Distancing, will air on April 30 on Facebook, Instagram, and on www.palau.org. It starts at 5pm (pacific), 8pm (eastern). They're encouraging churches and individuals around the world to tune in, share it with their friends, and host watch parties.
Hosted by Andrew and Wendy Palau, the experience will feature an exciting lineup of special guests, including music from Mandisa and Chris Quilala from Jesus Culture, a word of encouragement from Francis Chan, and teaching by Mark Mittelberg, Shaila Visser, and York Moore.
Using their Hope with God platform (www.facebook.com/hopewithgodpage) with nearly 20 million online followers, the Palau Association is prayerful that this program will be a useful encouragement for many believers around the world.
"Now more than ever people are hungry for hope in the world," Andrew Palau said. "And just because we are physically distant from one another doesn't mean we can't be incredibly effective as the Church. This online training is perfect to encourage believers to continue being used by the Lord to spread the hope of Jesus."
With the Palau team's vigorous international travel on hold, the team is channeling much of their resources and experience to multi-media platforms. Excitedly, the team has already seen the number of online decisions for Jesus more than double through their Hope with God website and social media community since the COVID-19 outbreak began.
