Institute for Faith, Work & Economics Joins Institute for Faith & Culture Under the Leadership of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church to Expand Reach and Impact

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Dec 4, 2024 /Standard Newswire/ -- The Institute for Faith, Work & Economics (IFWE) is pleased to announce a significant new chapter in its mission to inspire and equip Christians to integrate biblical principles into all areas of life. IFWE has joined with Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church (CRPC) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and will now operate alongside the church's Institute for Faith & Culture (IFC).

Dr. Robert J. Pacienza, senior pastor of CRPC and president of IFC, will assume the role of president of IFWE effective immediately. This partnership marks an exciting new phase of collaboration aimed at deepening the reach and impact of biblical teaching on calling, vocation, decision-making, and discipleship.

"At [IFC], our mission has always been to equip Christians for this cultural moment, encouraging them to honor Christ in every sector of society and sphere of culture. By bringing IFWE under the Coral Ridge umbrella, we unite two organizations whose missions beautifully complement one another," said Pacienza. "Together, IFC and IFWE will help Christians rediscover the transformational power in every area of life—from boardrooms and classrooms to church pews and public squares."

"This merger will provide a great opportunity for IFWE to expand and deepen its content, which centers on the foundational biblical concepts that govern calling, vocation, decision-making, and discipleship in all dimensions of life, and for that content to be shared with a much larger audience thanks to CRPC/IFC's channels of distribution," said Paul Brooks, chairman of the board for IFWE. "I firmly believe that a more thorough and complete application of these concepts will enable our audience to continue growing in knowledge and living all phases of life in a way that pleases God. This was the vision Hugh [Whelchel] cast at our founding, and I am confident that this vision will be greatly advanced under Dr. Pacienza's leadership."

Founded in 2011, IFWE has long been a leader in educating Christians on how to apply biblical principles to their work and economic decisions. Hugh Whelchel, co-founder of IFWE and long-time executive director, passed away earlier this year on Good Friday, leading the organization to seek new leadership that would continue on the work and vision of IFWE. The merger with CRPC and collaboration with IFC will allow IFWE to expand its content offerings, distribution channels, and ministry opportunities, reaching a broader audience with its transformative message.
