FRESNO, Calif., March 29, 2023 /Standard Newswire/ -- Wrapping up a month of Holy Spirit filled revival events, the JESUS THIRSTS FOR AMERICA tour gears up for I THIRST PENTECOST, I THIRST BIRMINGHAM and I THIRST HAWAII as the next wave of Eucharistic revival stops on its 7-city tour for 2023.
"We are overwhelmed by the move of God," said Deacon Steve Greco, Director of Evangelization and Formation at the Diocese of Orange and founder of the JESUS THIRSTS FOR AMERICA revival tour. "We were not sure if we were crazy to schedule three major events in one month or not - we kept calling it 'March Madness' and some will say that we are mad, but people are hungry and thirsty for God like never before! All we are doing is fanning the flame of faith and helping the Church and our bishops to go deeper and wider for His glory! Jesus Christ is making Himself known to us in the Holy Eucharist. We are merely instruments to lead people closer to Jesus Christ and what we are seeing at these events is that the Bishops and priests are thirsting, the people of God are thirsting and these revival events are God's way of saying 'don't give up, press in, I am here and we are in this together.' We saw hundreds and thousands turn out to come closer to Jesus. That is everything!"

The national revival tour kicked off last fall with an inaugural event at Christ Cathedral in Orange County. This year, the debut event was marred by the shocking death of Bishop David O'Connell just weeks prior to I THIRST LOS ANGELES which Bishop David was scheduled to host.
"Despite the horrific tragedy of Bishop David's murder, the event went on as he would have wanted us to press forward in faith," said Deacon Greco. "It was surreal. We felt we needed to stay at our post and minister to the grieving community. We will be back in Los Angeles for I THIRST PENTECOST, an all night revival vigil on May 27-28. The Lord keeps showing us Los Angeles in prayer and we are going to keep the lamp of faith burning by the power of the Holy Spirit for the people of God in the City of Angels. Jesus wants to reclaim our hearts, homes, Church and our cities for the glory of God and we are just standing in the gap to lead people forward in this hope."
In addition to I THIRST LOS ANGELES, the ministry hosted a massive Eucharisic Revival Campout for Young Adults at the picturesque Santiago Retreat Center that was attended by all three bishops of the Diocese of Orange, James Wahlberg, Dan DeMatte, Fr. Stan Fortuna and other lay evangelists.
"It was so powerful to see so many young adults spend not one day, but an entire weekend with Jesus," said Deacon Greco. "The enemy wants our young adults, our children and we are just putting our spiritual foot down by creating a pathway for the younger Church to gather, pray and be strengthened for the mission ahead."
The crowning event of the month of March took place at St. Charles Borromeo in Visalia, CA with Bishop Joseph Brennan. The event included a Spanish and English track at the newly dedicated parish that is the largest in the United States.
"Bishop Joseph Brennan opened his arms to us and what we saw was extraordinary," said Deacon Greco. "The bishop stayed all day and ministered to his people and we saw so many people renew their commitment to Jesus. If you are on the west coast, come and join us for I THIRST PENTECOST to receive a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit. If you are on the east coast, I urge you to join us at I THIRST BIRMINGHAM on May 20th. We will be at the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Hanceville, Alabama the very spot where Mother Angelica, foundress of EWTN is buried. Talk about the grace of a place - we will be calling down her intercession for everyone who will pilgrim for this tent revival."
