NEW ORLEANS, June 2, 2011 /Standard Newswire/ -- On Monday, June 6, faith and community leaders from across the Gulf Coast region will join Gulf Coast native Dr. Regina M. Benjamin, U.S. Surgeon General, Joshua DuBois, Executive Director of the White House Office of Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships, and faith and nonprofit leaders from the region for a conversation on how all levels of government can partner with nonprofit organizations to provide adequate health care services, prevent youth violence and promote healthy communities.
This stop in New Orleans is part of the administration's interactive "Connecting Communities for the Common Good" conference series making its way around the country.
By working and learning from faith and community leaders in their own hometowns, The White House, HHS, and all 13 Federal Partnership Centers from across the Administration are supporting organizations doing critical work in communities around the country.
