A Critique of Catherine Austin Fitts' Solari Report: The Assumption of Mary

WASHINGTON, Penn., Aug. 17, 2021 /Standard Newswire/ -- The following is submitted by Dan Corner of Evangelical Outreach:

On August 11, 2021, Catherine Austin Fitts of the Solari Report put out an article entitled, "The Assumption of Mary - Prayers for the Fertility of Women." In it Fitts wrote:

In several days, on August 15th, many people [sic] celebrate the Assumption of Mary. This day celebrates the passage of Mary, the mother of Jesus, into Heaven at the end of her earthly life.

Fitts went on to state that a 'great civilization' is linked to healthy mothers and babies and she connects Mary to that! As with the unscriptural New Ager - Dr. Carrie Madej, Catherine Austin Fitts has, likewise, revealed her own lack in spiritual understanding by the following statements:

I pray for the health and well-being of all of our young women, for their fertility, and for the unborn children they carry in their hearts, their minds, and in their womb.

I pray for divine protection for the fertility of women and ask Mother Mary to be with us and guide us at this time.

I pray that those who would contribute in any way - by direct action or support and financing - would be touched by Mary's love, that their heart would be warmed by a Mother's love to change their path. [ibid.]

It is vital for Catholics to realize that the real Mary of the Bible is not the Catholic Mary, as presented here by Fitts. That mythical character is as real as Santa Claus, but presented as the sinless virgin Queen of Heaven, mediatrix and dispenser of all grace, 'our life, sweetness and hope', refuge of sinners, the new Eve, and many other things. She is even idolatrously prayed "TO" and trusted in, as Christians pray to and trust in God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Though Fitts has some very good information and valid materials on other issues, she has potentially poisoned her readers by spreading this baseless "assumption" and religious Mary fantasy. In Catholicism, without any scriptural proof at all, their Mary is said to have been ASSUMED bodily into heaven! If true, that would make Mary similar to Jesus, who was actually bodily resurrected (Jn. 20:25-27; Phil. 3:21; etc.) and afterwards ascended to the right hand of the Father (Acts 2:33; Heb. 1:3; Acts 1:9; etc.).

In Catholicism, their Mary has become a serious rival of the Lord Jesus, having the female counterparts and maternal roles in just about everything that Jesus has single-handedly accomplished for humanity as the Savior. By fabricating and erecting such a Mary, Catholicism has, thereby, robbed the Lord Jesus of his uniqueness to exalt their unspoken "goddess".

Besides such apparent idolatry, the Mary of Catholicism is also part of the Catholic plan of salvation, since she is declared to be their "life", the "new Eve", mediatrix and dispenser of all grace, etc. Moreover, the Catholic "approved" 1917 Fatima Marian apparitions state that Mary is "our refuge" and "the way" to God, in bold contrast and disregard to God's word (Psa. 18:2,3; 18:30-32; Jn. 14:6 cf. Jer. 17:5-8).

Catherine Austin Fitts is like the competent plumber, electrician or car mechanic, who speaks out unscriptural errant things while performing their specialized tasks. May everyone learn the vital necessity of testing everything spiritual with scripture and flatly rejecting any message that is not bible-based (2 Tim. 3:16,17).

To get the proper focus, remember every knee will bow to Jesus and confess him as "Lord" (Phil. 2:9-11), including Mary!
