ORLANDO, Fla., July 1, 2020 /Standard Newswire/ -- The new docudrama "Charmed By Darkness" features the true story of Roger Morneau, a demon worshiper who became a Christian author and prayer warrior. Produced by Lifestreams Media, the film is winning praise from viewers and informs an increasingly chaotic culture with a timeless message.
According to a 2020 Cultural Research Center report, only 4 in 10 Americans believe that the Bible is true and accurate in its teachings. And while about half of Americans believe in the God of the Bible and the existence of Satan, the issues involved in the ancient, cosmic battle between good and evil are - for the majority - no more relevant than a Hollywood fantasy film.
"Roger Morneau's story is a microcosm of the unseen battle over the minds of humanity," stated Chris Lang, director and producer of Charmed By Darkness. As a young French Canadian, Roger came to believe that God was a tyrant and walked away from religion. After World War II, his association with a secret society of Luciferians was arrested by an unlikely friendship. A young couple studied the Bible with Roger and risked their lives to help him. The film also explores Roger's worldwide prayer ministry that included more than 25,000 prayer requests before his death in 1998. Family and friends testify that the battle with fallen angels is real, that the Bible is true and that prayer really can change things.
The film recently launched internationally in more than 100 markets on Amazon Prime and Prime Video and is generating many positive reviews (average rating is 4.8 out of 5):
- "...intriguing, inspirational, and uplifting! It drew me right in..." - P. Watson
- "...an eye-opening film about the realities of the spiritual world and demonstrates the power of the Creator over fallen spirits." - C. Tobon
- "...if Jesus delivered Roger, then He can deliver me and others who need God's help too. Powerful!" - S. Bowers
