One of those locales is South Sudan, where TBN executive Matt Crouch recently led a network delegation to meet with the country's Vice President, Riek Machar, concerning TBN's commitment to bring Christian programming to the people of this new nation. Vice President Machar, who is a committed Christian, emphasized in the meeting that South Sudan's recent independence, after years of struggle and war, did not come by human effort alone, but by the "hand of God."

The Sudan Tribune reported that despite facing decades of civil war and "fears that the northern Sudanese government would attempt to spoil the process, 98 percent of the people of South Sudan voted to form a new nation." Previously, on July 9, 2011, Matt Crouch joined such U.S. dignitaries as former U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell and Franklin Graham of Samaritan's Purse to witness as South Sudan celebrated its first Independence Day.

On April 6, less than a year later, Matt Crouch and the network delegation he led re-visited this hopeful country, assuring Vice President Machar of their prayerful support and commitment to bring TBN's inspiring and life-changing programming to the people of South Sudan.

TBN founder and president, Dr. Paul Crouch, noted that the efforts in South Sudan represent just a fraction of TBN's outreach to peoples and regions in need of the Gospel. On a recent tour of TBN's international operations and network outreach throughout Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, he and Matt Crouch also made a stop in Israel, where they visited TBN's new Shalom Channel, launched last year to broadcast inspirational programming to the huge Russian immigrant population in Israel.
