WASHINGTON, Jan. 4 /Standard Newswire/ -- Rev. Rob Schenck (pronounced SHANK), president of the National Clergy Council and chair of the Committee on Church and Society for the Evangelical Church Alliance (America's oldest association of Evangelical clergy) will travel back to Washington today after observing the Iowa caucus process and meeting with Evangelical leaders in the state.
Schenck said, "Iowa sent a clear message to the Republican Party and to the nation, Evangelicals are serious and well organized and remain a force that cannot be ignored or downplayed. But there is also a message to Evangelicals. Our actions have enormous consequences. That should keep us humble, prayerful and very careful about where we go from here."
