International Delegations to Set Record at NAB2007

Contact:  Kristopher Jones, National Association of Broadcasters, 202-429-5486

WASHINGTON, Mar. 15 /Standard Newswire/ -- NAB announced a record high of 82 international delegations are expected to attend NAB2007 in Las Vegas, up from 72 delegations last year. The list of delegation leaders can be found on the NAB2007 Web site.

"NAB2007 is the global event for electronic media professionals, drawing attendees and exhibitors from all over the world," said NAB Executive Vice President of Conventions and Business Operations Chris Brown. "While the international attendance at most conventions in North America ranges between five and ten percent, over a quarter of NAB2007's attendance will be made up of international participants."

Many of the international delegations attend the NAB Show through NAB's continuing partnership with the U.S. Department of Commerce and their International Buyer Program (IBP).

Last year, over 25,000 attendees representing 141 countries traveled from outside the U.S. to NAB2006. International delegations are organized by U.S. Embassies, consulates or specialized tour operators who manage the logistics for obtaining visas, hotel rooms, travel and registration.

In addition to a strong presence of international attendees, the exhibit floor for NAB2007 will host more than 470 international corporations. Companies will showcase cutting-edge technology and services for the electronic media industry in each area of the exhibit floor. Many of these companies will be featured in international pavilions, including the Bavarian Pavilion, Belgian Pavilion, China Pavilion, France-Bretagne International Pavilion, Korean DMB Pavilion, and the UK@NAB Pavilion.

Additional information about international delegations and exhibitors is available at international.nabshow.com.
