Infamous All-Trimester Abortion Facility Stops Booking Procedures After Month-Long Protest

Growing evidence of malpractice and mounting community outrage preceded the DC center suspending scheduling.

WASHINGTON, Sept. 2, 2025 /Standard Newswire/ — The Washington Surgi Clinic, an infamous late-term abortion facility located in Washington DC has halted appointments after activists from The Survivors engaged in a campaign to shut the facility down. During the course of their mission, activists had encounters with Surgi-Clinic staff members including the abortionist, Cesare Santangelo, that demonstrated his physical inability to practice medicine.

After this video surfaced, The Survivors compiled numerous complaints and lawsuits filed against Cesare Santangelo, into a 14 page complaint which was filed with the DC Board of Medicine and is currently under review. A press conference was held to share the details of the complaint with the public on Thursday August 21st.

New video from The Survivors shows an activist calling the Washington Surgi-Clinic to make an appointment. The receptionist informed the activist that they are not currently taking appointments, and she is only in the office to refer people to the national abortion federation hotline. The staff member stated they hope to take appointments again in late September but are unable to schedule patients until closer to that date.

This follows after activists on the ground report they have not seen abortionist Cesare Santangelo in over 3 weeks.

Sam Brown, a volunteer with The Survivors stated “After the mission, I continued to go to Surgi on at least a weekly basis. Since Late July, neither me nor any of my colleagues have seen Santangelo enter or exit the facility. God willing this indicates the closure of Washington Surgi-Clinic.”

This timeline coincides with a public statement made one month ago by China Red, a patient of the Surgi-Clinic. “Terrible I had to fly to dc for my appointment they were very much aware of this when I [got] to dc and I [left] the airport heading straight to the clinic they [called] me and [told] me the doctor had an emergency and my appointment has been cancelled very unprofessional.”

Prayer Vigil: The Survivors will hold a prayer vigil on Tuesday September 9th at 5pm in front of the office of the Chief Medical Examiner, where the bodies of Santangelo’s victims are currently awaiting an autopsy.
