Climate change conference -- Gordon Brown told the Major Economies Forum in London, which brings together 17 of the world's biggest greenhouse gas-emitting countries, that if leaders fail to agree on a deal on climate change it would spell catastrophe. More than 190 countries are due to agree to a deal to tackle global warming at the UN Climate Change Conference in December. Now the UK Prime Minister has set out a dramatic countdown for world leaders, saying they have 50 days to agree on a way forward in tackling climate change before they meet in Copenhagen. Without a deal, he warns the UK alone faces widespread floods, heat waves and drought.
