WASHINGTON, Jan. 18 /Standard Newswire/ -- The American Civil Liberties Union and the Traditional Values Coalition will join their allies from opposite ends of the political spectrum for a teleconference briefing on Thursday, January 18, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. EST to discuss First Amendment concerns posed by S.1, the "Legislative Transparency and Accountability Act of 2007." The intention of supporters of the bill is to limit the impact of what they call "big-dollar advertising." Leaders from the American Civil Liberties Union, Traditional Values Coalition, Free Speech Coalition, National Right to Life, and the American Target Advertising Association will all be on hand to discuss opposition to the bill and answer questions.
