NASHVILLE, May 27 /Standard Newswire/ -- Autumn Records has announced the Summer 2008 release of singer/songwriter Erin Schneider's debut label project, Faith Walk. Spinning her own brand of "profound pop," Schneider has a message of hope for all who struggle with the challenges of life, and the overriding theme of Faith Walk is God's loving care through hardships.

"Most of the songs were written when I was going through a very difficult time or soon after God brought me through it," Schneider explains.

Her song "Draw Me" is a cry to be near God, no matter what is going on around you. "Why" is an encouragement for those going through trials to know that God is always there. The title cut talks about how God, through all the highs and lows of life, is walking this journey with His children.

The song "Shine" is very personal to the singer/songwriter as it was written for Schneider's niece Sophia--it talks about how Schneider had to surrender her niece to the hand of God and a new family. "My husband Pat and I were asked to adopt my niece, Sophia," Schneider recounts. "She lived with us for about eight months. Of course, I was ready to say, 'Oh yeah, we'll adopt her in a second,' but Pat was a little more cautious, 'Let's pray about this and see how things go.'"

The situation proved to be the hardest challenge of Schneider's married life. "Pat and I weren't in agreement, but I was still ready to adopt Sophia, even though our family was going down the tubes," Schneider explains. "I learned that when you're not in agreement with your spouse, you shouldn't try to force it, which is what I tried to do. God won't bless that. He needs us to be in agreement. God was all we had to hold onto, and He was faithful to work things out. In the end, Sophia was adopted by a couple outside of our family. It's an open adoption, and she still has contact with our family. God has completely restored our marriage. I feel like we're stronger now than we've ever been."

Even though the album talks about walking through hard times, there is a pervasive upbeat nature to Faith Walk, which reflects the position of trust that Schneider is now living, especially where her music is concerned. Her biggest desire is to help others find what God has given her through her music--the realization that they have a special purpose in life and that they are never alone. "God has something special just for you," Schneider shares. "Seek out what God has for you and go for it in faith. He's always going to use a willing heart--all He wants to know is that you're willing.'"
