WASHINGTON, March 24, 2011 /Standard Newswire/ -- Dante Di Loreto, executive producer of "Glee" and president of Ryan Murphy Productions, will sit down with Kevin Beggs, president of the Hollywood Radio and Television Society (HRTS) and president of Lionsgate Television Group, for an in-depth exploration of FOX's "Glee" at the 2011 NAB Show. With its huge ratings and chart-topping hits, the series has become a television phenomenon, and Di Loreto will reveal how Ryan Murphy Productions, Fox Broadcasting Corporation and 20th Century Fox work together to optimize the show's success without sacrificing its creative integrity.

The session, titled "Behind the Multi-Platform Success of 'Glee'" will take place on Wednesday, April 13 from 2:30-3:45 pm in room S222 at the NAB Show, which runs from April 9-14 in Las Vegas. The discussion will focus on the development of the series from its original concept through global distribution, showcasing the cross-media strategies – from iTunes partnerships to A-list guest stars and stunts – that have helped make "Glee" one of the most successful broadcast franchises on network television today.

"This is our first collaboration with NAB and we're excited to be part of this year's show," said Dave Ferrara, executive director of HRTS. "We anticipate a very lively and informative session, which we hope will pave the way for other such events in the future."

Kevin Beggs is president of Lionsgate Television Group, where he is responsible for the development and production of the studio's scripted and non-scripted programming for both domestic and international distribution. He has spearheaded the strategic expansion of the company's TV production activities in broadcast and cable, and has become one of the key executives managing Lionsgate's creative interests in TV Guide Network, which the company acquired in 2009, and its partnership in the new premium entertainment channel, EPIX. Under his leadership, the television division has become a leading supplier of programming, particularly to cable networks, with an impressive production slate that includes the recently announced drama series "Boss" starring Kelsey Grammer for Starz; the multiple Emmy and Golden Globe-winning drama "Mad Men" for AMC; the hit comedy "Weeds" for Showtime; and the college football comedy "Blue Mountain State" for Spike TV.

Dante Di Loreto serves as president of production for Ryan Murphy Television and is executive producer of "Glee." The show has received 19 Emmy and 11 Golden Globe nominations, won four Emmy Awards and four Golden Globes, and was honored with the prestigious Peabody Award. Additionally, Di Loreto is executive producer of the "Glee" albums and oversees music production on the series. Throughout his career, Di Loreto has produced numerous original scripted series for cable and broadcast television. He served as executive producer on the TV movie "Temple Grandin" with Claire Danes, Julia Ormond and Catherine O'Hara, and has produced a variety of films and theater productions, including the film "Die, Mommie, Die!," which took home the Sundance Film Festival's Special Jury Prize; "Viva Cuba," Cuba's official foreign language selection for the 78th Annual Academy Awards; and "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" starring Anthony Edwards. Di Loreto has also co-produced multiple successful Broadway shows, including "Glass Menagerie," starring Jessica Lange and Christian Slater; "Festen," starring Juliana Margulies and Ali McGraw; and Sir Antony Sher's "Primo."
