LAS VEGAS, April 16 /Standard Newswire/ -- LUCI AV for Windows Mobile Smartphone - another breakthrough in mobile content production.

LUCI Ltd. releases the audio and video delivery solution, LUCI AV, at the National Assoc. of Broadcasters (NAB) 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Windows Mobile based application will be demonstrated at the AP booth (C 161), with SNAPfeed via ENPS. Luci Ltd. is pleased to announce Luci AV as the latest mobile application for Broadcast Content, via the MOS integration partner program from ENPS.

LUCI AV enables reporters to shoot video and record audio in studio quality on their mobile device, anytime, anywhere. Using the intuitive split screen interface, the video and audio from a recorded clip can be simultaneously and non-destructively edited, and the clip stored in a cliplist. Lists containing both edited and non-edited clips can then be uploaded to websites via FTP, or emailed to TV studios.

Although the concept of media and content delivery solutions for Internet, broadband, and mobile applications is no longer a novelty, the ability to receive studio-quality video and audio content from a mobile device, via the mobile network, is a new, major development. With no modifications necessary to either a studio's equipment or technical procedures, it means that news can be delivered fast and efficiently to any TV station - even from some of the world's more remote regions.

The first easy-to-use LUCI application was launched during IBC 2004.  Since then, the technology has been further improved, and new releases developed in close cooperation with major broadcasters including ABC Australia, the BBC, Radio Netherlands Worldwide and Belgium's Flemish public broadcaster VRT who are already using LUCI software in their daily transmissions. The user-friendliness of the software also makes it suitable for user-generated content, or citizen journalism, a trend being embraced by many broadcasters, publishers and newsgroups.
