ATLANTA, Jan. 23, 2025 /Standard Newswire/ -- Georgia Right to Life’s annual event, Georgia Stand for Life -- Memorial Service and Silent March will take place on Friday, January 24, 2025, 11:30 a.m. at Liberty Plaza. This event, which has been held for more than 40 years, is a memorial for the more than 65 million preborn children whose lives were taken by abortion since 1973. The focus of the event is to bring public awareness to the issue of abortion and the millions who are missing from our society as a result. It’s also an opportunity for those who advocate for life to be encouraged and educated in their continuing efforts to bring equal protection to children in the womb in Georgia.
In addition to a memorial service and silent march, Georgia Stand for Life will include praise and worship music, prayer, testimonials and speakers with a focus on our unwavering commitment to securing equal protection for every preborn child in Georgia—no exceptions, no compromise. The silent march through the streets of Atlanta will begin at 12:45 p.m.
“This event is a sorrowful reminder that it is a tough, weighty battle in this country—and in the state of Georgia, to protect the lives of the preborn, said Zemmie Fleck, executive director - Georgia Right to Life. “And yet, we must make defending the preborn a top priority by putting equal protection measures in place. It’s the only way we will put an end to the slaughter of children in the womb.”

“Georgia Stand for Life remains steadfast in its work to advocate for the innocent among us,” said Fleck. “The sanctity of life according to God must be upheld because the devaluing of life continues to have a mortifying spiritual, financial and societal impact on our culture—which has and will lead to long-term, irreversible consequences on our society. We have a high moral obligation to advocate for the preborn.”
