Christian Groups Greet New Supreme Court Session with Public Prayer Service Oct. 2

WASHINGTON, Oct. 1 /Standard Newswire/ -- Christian organizations will conduct a consecration, prayer and anointing service for the opening of the new session of the United States Supreme Court on Monday, October 2, at 9:00 A.M., on the public sidewalk in front of the United States Supreme Court.

 

When: Monday, October 2, 9:00 AM

 

Where: In front of the United States Supreme Court

 

Who: The service will be led by the Christian Defense Coalition and Faith and Action.  There were also be prayer and worship services being held at the Supreme Court throughout the day led by Justice House of Prayer, Rock for Life and Mars Hill.

 

The events will end with an evening candlelight vigil and worship service at 7:30 P.M.; sponsored by Rock for Life.

 

The groups will be seeking God’s wisdom, guidance and direction for upcoming cases being heard before the court this term.  Of major interest is the Partial-Birth case which will be heard on Wednesday, November 8th.
