ATLANTA, March 25, 2021 /Standard Newswire/ -- Civil rights activist Alveda King and film star Stacey Dash appear on screen in Roe V. Wade, which highlights the work of Harvard-trained African American pro-life activist Dr. Mildred Fay Jefferson. Dash plays a leading role as Jefferson, the first black woman to graduate from Harvard Medical school. King plays her mother, Guthrie Jefferson. Dr. King also executive produced the film.

"I am proud that the story of unsung hero Dr. Mildred Faye Jefferson is finally being told. Stacey's performance does honor to Jefferson's legacy, which is rarely celebrated by women's groups or African American groups," said King.

Dianne Rogers of Brimstone Services noted, "The film premiered earlier this month during the peak of Women's History Month. Our little girls need to hear more about Dr. Jefferson."

Roe v. Wade is a 21st-century American political-legal drama film produced, written and directed by Nick Loeb and Cathy Allyn. It serves as a dramatization of the 1973 landmark decision, Roe v. Wade, rendered by the U.S. Supreme Court on the constitutionality of laws that criminalized or restricted access to abortions.

The private screening will be held on Saturday, March 27, at 4:00 pm at AMC Barrett Commons 24 in Kennesaw, GA. Seating is limited due to COVID restrictions.

Registration is required. For more information regarding the private screening, contact Eugene Vigil at vigileugene@gmail.com.
