DENVER, April 22, 2021 /Standard Newswire/ -- Renovaré, a nonprofit that offers resources and training to help people become more like Jesus, announced its planned presidential transition will occur on February 28, 2022. Over the last seven years, the ministry has grown under the leadership of current president Christopher A. Hall, 71, who requested the transition in order to spend more time with family.
"When the date for the transition was finalized," Dr. Hall said, "I sensed within a deep sense of peace, joy, and excitement for Renovaré's future and my own. The friendships I've formed mean so much to me and I know they will continue for many years."
Renovaré board and staff unanimously praised Dr. Hall's leadership of the organization. Richard J. Foster, who founded Renovaré in 1988 and is now retired from public ministry, commented that "Chris is a rare blend of heart and intellect who by God's grace led Renovaré into a season of flourishing."
Board chair James Catford added, "We couldn't be more pleased with the work Chris has done and continues to do. He has the board's complete support. We are thankful he has agreed to lead Renovaré until February to give us time to conduct a prayerful and healthy presidential transition process." Catford also noted, "Chris built a tremendous staff and championed a culture of transparency, kindness, and mutual respect. The new president will be starting from a place of strength."
A search is now underway for the woman or man who will lead the spiritual formation ministry starting in February 2022.
Chris Hall concluded his announcement letter to constituents by saying, "God has always been faithful to provide the right people at the right time for Renovaré. It's been quite remarkable to watch. I'm confident it will be the same with this new president."
