MC LEAN, Va., Dec. 3 /Standard Newswire/ -- Senator Fred Thompson's presidential campaign today announced the addition of a lead field operative in Southwest Florida. Craig Briscoe will serve as field director of Charlotte, Collier, Desoto, Glades, Hendry and Lee Counties.

"Craig has a great deal of experience in grassroots organization and is extremely knowledgeable of local politics," said Todd Thomson, executive director of Senator Thompson's Florida Campaign. "Senator Thompson's consistent conservatism and comprehensive plans to reduce illegal immigration, revitalize social security and strengthen our national defense are resonating with voters, and Craig will be instrumental in organizing a grassroots network that will continue to spread that message throughout Southwest Florida."

Craig Briscoe is the president of the Republican Club of Bonita & Estero and has served in several capacities within the Lee County Republican Executive Committee.  Briscoe most recently worked in contract negotiation for The Orbit Group, serving as the vice president of New Business for Orbit client Progress Technologies. He previously worked as an executive recruiter for the Hospitality Resource Group.
