Bishop E.W. Jackson Sr. of 'S.T.A.N.D.' Accuses NAACP of Anti-White Racism Against Tea Party Members, Political Extremism and Anti-Christian Bigotry

Contact: Natalie Brown, Press Asst., S.T.A.N.D., 757-410-7740, 757-648-9957

MEDIA ADVISORY, Oct. 21 /Standard Newswire/ -- Bishop E.W. Jackson Sr., an active member of the Tea Party movement, has taken aim at the NAACP for, "becoming nothing more than puppets for the far left and the Democrat Party." The NAACP has issued a report alleging "racist" elements in the Tea Party. Jackson, through STAND -- Staying True to America's National Destiny -- has turned the tables on the NAACP, accusing them of anti-white racism, extremist politics and association with organizations which promote anti-Christian bigotry. According to Jackson, "The Tea Party is not racist, but the NAACP is using a racist smear against these patriotic Americans. That is racist." Jackson is appointing a "Commission on the Corruption of the NAACP" to investigate.

The NAACP report is by The Institute for Research & Education on Human Rights ("IREHR"). The Bishop calls IREHR a leftwing extremist group. Says STAND's President, "The NAACP, once a proud organization that fought for dignity and equality of opportunity for black Americans, has now become a front organization for issues which insult the values of most black Americans. The NAACP supports same sex marriage, abortion and the racist Planned Parenthood, which kill 500,000 black babies every year. Black citizens, especially black Christians, do not support these policies. The NAACP partners with the ACLU, which engages in virulently hateful anti-Christian law suits which hurt black Christians. Black church goers form the largest voting block in the black community and the NAACP is betraying them."

STAND is a grassroots organization dedicated to restoring America's Judeo-Christian history and values and bringing Americans together across racial and cultural lines as "One Nation Under God." Bishop Jackson says, "We will monitor the NAACP to expose their extremist, pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, anti-Christian policies and associations, including their relationship with Louis Farrakhan. Black Christians need information to make an informed decision about whether to support the NAACP. The will of God is what matters, not that of the NAACP or its leftist political masters."

STAND will reach out to rank and file members of the NAACP, many of whom are not in agreement with the national leadership. Bishop Jackson is the Pastor of a predominantly black church, an activist in the black community for over thirty years and founder of the Chesapeake Martin Luther King Leadership Breakfast.
