CHARLOTTE, N.C., Dec. 20, 2022 /Standard Newswire/ -- As the world prepares to celebrate Christmas this weekend, Evangelist Will Graham and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, along with musical guest Jason Crabb, will premiere an online Christmas special on Friday, Dec. 23, at 8 p.m. ET.
The program, which was recorded live at "Little Piney Cove," the mountaintop home of Billy and Ruth Graham in Montreat, North Carolina, will air at WillGrahamLive.com, as well as on YouTube and Facebook. The special will be available for on-demand viewing in the days following the initial airing.
During the program, Graham will share the hope found in a relationship with Jesus Christ, whose birth we celebrate on Christmas. "Jesus is not a myth. He's not a legend. Jesus actually walked the earth. He talked with people and healed people. He experienced the same pains and sorrows that you and I experience. He was 100% man," said Graham in his message. "At the same time, He was 100% God. He was God in flesh. He was 'Emmanuel ... God with us.'"
Grammy and Dove Award-winning artist Jason Crabb will perform Christmas classics and favorites as part of the program.
"To sing at Rev. Billy Graham's last crusade in New York City and stand alongside this great man of God was one of the greatest honors of my life. Now to be invited to share this time with my treasured friend, Will Graham, at Rev. Graham's home is an extremely special moment," said Crabb. "Rev. Graham's main goal in life was to point people to the hope found in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and that's just what we're going to do this Christmas—point people to Jesus. I can't wait to share this time with all of you."
A Spanish-language version of the program, featuring celebrated musical guest Christine D'Clario, will premiere simultaneously at WillGrahamEnvivo.com. Additionally, the special will be translated into American Sign Language and posted to Facebook.com/ASLbythelight.
The online Christmas celebration has become an annual tradition for Graham, with past events being hosted at the Billy Graham Training Center at The Cove (2021) and the Billy Graham Library (2022). Those two online outreaches were viewed more than 43,000 times combined, across 45 countries around the world. More than 1,900 people indicated that they made a decision to follow Jesus through the two programs.
