LANSING, Mich., May 16, 2018 /Standard Newswire/ -- The Calley Continues Comeback Committee released a new statewide TV ad today urging voters to call Bill Schuette and tell him to resign. The phone number given is 517-373-8060, the number for the Attorney General's Office of Communications, led by Andrea Bitely. Bitely was one of the taxpayer funded employees who signed the documents to help Schuette facilitate his secret offshore land deals.
"It's not just that Schuette has been hiding a secret island real estate empire or that he's been making state employees help him do his land deals: Schuette got caught and then lied about it three different times," said Jordan Gehrke, a spokesman for the PAC.
Text of the ad:
"Bill Schuette inherited a Virgin Islands real estate empire. As Attorney General, Bill Schuette told voters his assets were in a 'blind trust.' Schuette lied. He's just been caught selling millions of that land, making his taxpayer funded staff help. Schuette broke the taxpayers trust. The Detroit News confronted Schuette. He lied three times. Denied everything. Lied. Caught. Denied. Call Bill Schuette. Tell him to do the honorable thing and resign."
