BRIDGEPORT, Conn., Aug. 19, 2022 /Standard Newswire/ -- More than 175 churches, organizations, and businesses throughout Southwest Connecticut have come together to throw a party for the region. They're calling it CT CityFest with Andrew Palau. With a special emphasis on unity, hope, and good news, the free two-day festival will be held August 27-28, at Seaside Park in Bridgeport, Connecticut (1 Barnum Dyke, Bridgeport, CT 06604).
Accomplished in partnership with the Luis Palau Association—a well-known non-profit ministry based in Portland, Oregon—the family-friendly festival will feature award-winning artists TobyMac, Lecrae, We Are Messengers, Blanca, Megan Duke, Zenzo, and Impact Music. It will also include a Family Fun Zone and stage performance, as well as action sports demonstrations from skateboard, BMX, and freestyle motocross athletes. This will all lead up to a culminating moment on both Saturday and Sunday when author and speaker Andrew Palau will share a clear message of hope with the crowd.
In addition to the free two-day festival at Seaside Park, multiple affinity events and smaller gatherings have been taking place throughout the region. The ongoing effort has also included a region-wide service initiative known as CityServe, focusing on the most urgent and pressing social needs in the area. Local leaders are looking to continue this unity and partnership for the long-term.
