Similar to TIME magazine's "Person of the Year" but with a different focus, WORLD magazine names a "Daniel of the Year" – a person or group of people whose "faith in God gave them the strength to stand up against tyrants who tried to put themselves in God's place." In the case of this year's "Daniel," pregnancy center directors and volunteers have been honored for standing up to those forces and circumstances in a woman's life that seemingly point to abortion. As a result of their efforts, hundreds of thousands of lives each year are instead welcomed into the world and surrounded by a supportive community.
