COLUMBUS, Ohio, Jan. 25 /Standard Newswire/ -- On Saturday, February 2, the Columbus office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Ohio) will host a panel discussion entitled "Beyond Stereotypes: Islamophobia and the War on Terror” at the Ohio State University.

Panelists will include:

 

  • Dr. Peter Gottschalk, Associate Professor of Religion at Wesleyan University and co-author of Islamophobia: Making Muslims the Enemy

  • Dr. Daniel Tokaji, Associate Professor of Law at the Ohio State University Law School

The panelists will discuss attitudes about Islam and how these may be shaped by media images, political statements, and other factors including the actions of Muslim extremists.
