FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Jan. 29 /Standard Newswire/ -- U.S. Senate Chaplain Barry Black, author Ann Coulter, and Family Research Council president Tony Perkins are among the sixteen speakers who will address the Reclaiming America for Christ conference, March 2-3 in Fort Lauderdale. The annual event is aimed at stirring and equipping Christians to be "salt and light"–agents of moral witness in American public life and culture.
The two-day power-packed conference takes place at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church, the church home of popular TV and radio minister Dr. D. James Kennedy. (Dr. Kennedy suffered a cardiac arrest in late December and will not be speaking at the conference.)
"This event promises to be inspirationally rich, as attendees hear, one-by-one, from dynamic leaders about the task ahead for Christians," said Dr. Gary Cass. "We face an all-out war against immorality in our society. This event will provide Christians deep within the trenches with a welcome respite from the battle and fuel to carry on."
In addition to Black, Coulter, and Perkins, other speakers will include Dr. Gary Cass, Executive Director of the Center for Reclaiming America for Christ; Father Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life; Dr. Frank Wright, President of the National Religious Broadcasters; and Walid Phares, author of Future Jihad.
Phyllis Schlafly, founder of Eagle Forum, and one of the founders of the modern conservative movement, will address the conference Salt & Light Awards Banquet on Friday evening, March 2.

Conference sessions will offer training in Christian grassroots action and methods to mobilize churches on moral issues. Speakers will address such topics as same-sex "marriage," ethical and embryo-destructive stem cell research, the evolution/creation debate, pornography, religious liberty, and the threat of radical Islam.
The Christian action conference comes after a rash of recently published books, all harshly critical of evangelical involvement in American public life. The Christian Right Is Wrong; Kingdom Coming: The Rise of Christian Nationalism; and American Fascists: The Christian Right and the War on
"This conference gives the lie to these purple-prosed, scare-mongering accounts," said Cass. "Reclaiming
