Christian Children's Media Pioneer Phil Vischer and Creative Trust Announce New Series
"Galaxy Buck®" to be Vischer's First Return to Narrative Storytelling Since Popular VeggieTales® Series

NASHVILLE, June 30, 2015 /Standard Newswire/ -- Filmmaker Phil Vischer, a pioneer of Christian children's media, today announced the launch of "Galaxy Buck®," his first narrative storytelling video series in more than a decade.

Featuring Vischer's lovable and familiar characters from the bestselling series, "Buck Denver Asks® … What's in the Bible?," the "Galaxy Buck" space trilogy series dares to take the good news about God's love to the far reaches of the galaxy.

"Buck Denver and Friends learned a whole lot while making 'What's in the Bible?' and now it's time to put that knowledge into practice," said Vischer. "Where better to do that than in deep space? 'Galaxy Buck' gives us a whole universe to explore while showing kids what following Jesus looks like in real life.

"It isn't enough to know our faith," Vischer continued. "Through a group of lovable, space-faring puppets, 'Galaxy Buck' will help kids learn to live their faith. I'm excited for families to join us for the ride."

Vischer, whose "VeggieTales®" sold more than 50 million videos, will release the first DVD in the trilogy, "Galaxy Buck: Mission to Sector 9," on Oct. 20, 2015. The series is produced by his studio Jellyfish Labs in partnership with Creative Trust, which previously collaborated with Vischer on the successful "Buck Denver Asks®…What's in the Bible?"

"True to brand, Phil Vischer is not just creating a new series, he is concocting an innovative mash up of exceptional story-telling with the most endearing group of characters in the universe," said Dan Raines, President of Creative Trust. "Thanks to Phil and his creative team, there will not be a dull moment."

In addition to an entertaining storyline, "Galaxy Buck" will also feature new and innovative filmmaking techniques from Vischer and the team at Jellyfish Labs. With miniature sets hand-carved primarily by Vischer, "Galaxy Buck" will combine CGI animation, miniature sets and live-action for a visually rich experience for viewers. As with the entire "What's in the Bible?" cast, Vischer will continue to write and voice each character in the series.

The first DVD in the series will debut on JellyTelly.com – a Creative Trust company in October and hit retail stores the same month in partnership with Capitol Christian Distribution.
