CROMWELL, Conn., July 12, 2024 /Standard Newswire/ -- On July 10, an Army anti-terrorism training presentation was held for soldiers stationed at Fort Liberty (formerly Fort Bragg) in North Carolina. After presenting a slide condemning ISIS as a Terrorist Group, another slide, also titled "Terrorist Groups," was presented listing Pro-Life Organizations, Crisis [Pregnancy] Centers, Pro-Life Mass Demonstrations and Protests (i.e., March for Life, Life Chains, The Truth Display, etc.), Sidewalk Counseling, and "Choose Life License Plates" as more Terrorist Groups.
On July 11, thanks to a social media photograph of this slide that quickly went viral, Fort Liberty responded on X that "these slides will no longer be used, and all future training products will be reviewed to ensure they align with the current DoD anti-terrorism guidance."
"As President of The Children First Foundation, a charitable Adoption and Safe Havens advocacy organization and the official sponsor of the 'New York Choose Life License Plate,' I am very grateful to Senator Ted Budd (R-NC) and to Representative Elise Stefanik (R-NY) who have condemned this extremely troubling incident as 'despicable' and called for immediate investigations." -- Dr. Elizabeth Rex
Sen. Ted Budd's post on X states: "Smearing pro-life Americans as terrorists is despicable. The materials briefed at Fort Liberty are disturbing. As soon as I learned of it, I directed my team to contact Army and Fort Liberty officials. They have begun an investigation. The Army must get to the bottom of this and see that it never happens again."
Rep. Elise Stefanik's post on X states: "The Biden Administration's Department of Defense is allegedly attempting to teach our service members that pro-life organizations in America are 'terrorist groups.' This is despicable. @POTUS, @SecDef, and @SecArmy must immediately condemn and open an investigation into this vile and dangerous attempted indoctrination of our service members."
The Children First Foundation is just one of over 30 official sponsors of "Choose Life License Plates" that have been approved with bi-partisan support in 35 states since the first pro-adoption "Choose Life License Plate" hit the road in Florida back in 2000.
The faces of two smiling children and the words "Choose Life" appear on most of the "Choose Life" license plates, and the funding raised by these DMV-approved specialty plates is sent to pro-life Pregnancy Care Centers in each state that generously help pregnant women who so often need moral and financial support when facing an unplanned pregnancy.
Since the year 2000, over $32 million dollars has been raised and distributed to countless pro-life Pregnancy Centers that promote all of the "pro-life choices" including Parenting, Open Adoption, Closed Adoption, and even the Anonymous "Safe Haven" Option which is legal in all 50 states.
The Adoption Option is a "good choice" that everyone can support. It is common ground. Getting a pro-adoption "Choose Life License Plate" is a great way to help pregnant women "choose life" and "consider the Adoption Options."

Thank you for putting "Children First."
