WASHINGTON, Nov. 10, 2023 /Standard Newswire/ -- The Biden Administration "politicizes free speech" as they refuse to arrest violent Palestinian protesters who defaced the White House Gates.
Yet, activists who have prayed and demonstrated for human rights, religious freedom and ending abortion have been consistently arrested and jailed for their peaceful activities in front of the White House.
Rev. Patrick Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition, calls this politicizing of law enforcement by the Biden Administration, "a dangerous first step toward political oppression and a troubling crushing of free speech and the First Amendment."
Included in this news release are photos of Rev. Mahoney getting attested for peacefully praying, in front of the White House, for human rights in China along with images of the defaced White House gates by Palestinian protesters.
Rev. Patrick Mahoney, who has been arrested numerous times over the last 35 years for peacefully praying and demonstrating in front of the White House, comments:
"One of the most dangerous things that can happen to a free and democratic nation is having law enforcement politicized. Tragically, we are currently seeing that taking place under President Biden. By refusing to arrest violent Palestinian protesters for defacing the White House gates while arresting activists who have peacefully prayed and demonstrated for human rights, religious freedom, and ending abortion violence, the Biden Administration is taking a dangerous first step toward political oppression and a troubling crushing of free speech and the First Amendment.
"If President Biden arrests and jails only certain Americans for their speech, beliefs, and political actions in front of the White House, then our nation no longer has a functioning First Amendment or equity regarding freedom of speech.
"America is in grave danger if our political leaders jail a minister for peacefully praying in front of the White House while allowing Palestinian protesters to destroy property with no consequences."
