Space Coast CityFest with Andrew Palau Set for this Weekend... Rain or Shine

NEWS PROVIDED BY

March 4, 2021

MELBOURNE, Fla., March 4, 2021 /Standard Newswire/ -- More than 200 churches throughout Brevard County have come together to throw a party for the region. They're calling it Space Coast CityFest with Andrew Palau. With a special emphasis on unity, hope, and good news, the free two-day festival will be held this weekend, March 6-7, at Space Coast Daily Park in Melbourne, Florida.

Accomplished in partnership with the Luis Palau Association—a well-known ministry based in Portland, Oregon—the family-friendly festival will feature award-winning artists Zach Williams, Casting Crowns, Mac Powell, Mandisa, Andy Mineo, and Social Club Misfits. It will also include performances by illusionist John Michael Hinton, a Family Fun Stage, and action sports demonstrations from skateboard, BMX, and freestyle motocross athletes. This will all lead up to a culminating moment on both Saturday and Sunday when evangelist Andrew Palau will share a clear message of hope and faith in Jesus Christ.

The festival comes just days after the announcement that evangelist Luis Palau—father to Andrew Palau and head of the Luis Palau Association—has been placed on hospice care after a three-year fight with lung cancer. While the elder Palau faces his final days, his son Andrew carries on the work of the team with this festival in Brevard County.

In addition to the free two-day festival at Space Coast Daily Park, multiple affinity events and smaller outreaches have been taking place throughout the region. They have included outreaches at local prisons, a youth rally, a gathering for first responders, a luncheon for business and civic leaders, as well as two evangelistic outreach events for women which were led by Andrew's wife, Wendy. Hundreds have attended the events and many have responded to the Gospel invitation. The campaign has also included a regionwide service effort known as CityServe, focusing on the most urgent and pressing social needs in the area.
