The purpose of both events is to encourage believers around the globe to unite in prayer for the eradication of COVID-19 and a spiritual awakening around the world. Unite714 is based on the Scripture from 2 Chronicles 7:14 that God will intervene in this challenging crisis:

"If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and forgive their sin and heal their land." (NKJV)
